Nach über 5 Jahren, waren wir im 2023 endlich wieder in England. 

Covid hat schlimme Spuren hinterlassen. Nicht nur zum Guten.

Viele bekannte Geschäfte, für immer geschlossen. 

Dafür hat die Sauberkeit in den Pubs und Restaurants verbessert. Viel sind jetzt mit 5* bewertet.

After more than 5 years, we were finally back in England in 2023.
Covid has left a terrible mark. Not only for the better.

Many well-known shops closed for good.
But the cleanliness of the pubs and restaurants has improved. Many are now rated 5*.

The Grand Pier has been damaged by fire on two occasions, in 1930 and 2008. Following the 2008 fire, which completely destroyed the pavilion, the pier was rebuilt at a cost of £39,000,000 and reopened on 23 October 2010.
